Baptism is the first and most necessary of the Sacraments, in which we are given the grace and character of Christians.

The sacrament of Baptism forgives original sin and any other sin that may be committed by the person being baptized.

Who can baptize in case of need?

In case of need, any man or woman who is of sound mind can baptize.

How is baptism performed in case of need?

In case of need, natural water is poured over the head of the person being baptized, saying at the same time, with the intention of baptizing: "I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."
