What do we believe in?

Nicene-Constantine-Neapolitan Creed

We believe in one God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, born of the Father before all ages; God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one being with the Father, through whom all things were made; who for us and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnated by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, suffered and was buried. He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, and who has spoken through the prophets.

We believe in the Church, which is One, Holy, Christian and Apostolic.

We acknowledge one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.

We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
